About
Our Process
At the heart of Farland Interiors is an utter devotion to what we do. We are fully invested in creating spaces for people where they can build a life, create memories, love, laugh, and retreat from the frenzy of the modern world. We design spaces that reflect the individuality and uniqueness of you, our client — this is your home, your space, and your haven; we’re here to make it equally beautiful and functional, and always to the highest standards.
To create spaces with this level of creativity and intentionality, we follow six company pillars that provide the foundation for everything that we do.
Reputation
01.
We are proud of Farland Interiors’ track record as a skilled and reliable resource for clients across the country. We rely solely on word of mouth for new business, and the reason we can do that is because our clients look for opportunities to refer us to their friends and family — and that, to us, is our definition of success.
Integrity
02.
We’ve all been on the wrong end of misinformation, or disingenuous promises. Doing the right thing, always, is how we’ve been able to grow our business over the years. We believe that being transparent in our business dealings enables us to gain trust with clients and partners that pays off over the long term.
Kindness
03.
When you’ve been in this business as long as we have, you learn that it’s vital that you like working with the people around you on a daily basis. Being kind is easy when you love what you do, and that extends to working with clients as well. You’ll find the Farland Interiors team to be authentic, without pretension, and fun to work with.
Communication
04.
Interior design isn’t a one-day process, it can take months and even years to tailor a space to the myriad of needs, priorities, and tastes. That requires effective communication among everyone involved. We’re always available to address new ideas or sudden hurdles, and consider clear communication to be critical for a successful result.
Client First
05.
When you hire a designer, you’re looking for expertise and vision. We are never afraid to share our thoughts and opinions, but we also understand that your tastes and preferences are the driver. Our goal is for you to be overjoyed with your spaces, and that means you, the client, are always a central part of our process from the start.
Teamwork
06.
A huge part of what makes Farland Interiors successful is our network of architects, builders, subs, landscapers, and everyone else who makes our work come to life. We work collaboratively with a trusted group of professionals who have become friends as well as business partners, which is both efficient and enjoyable.
Brianna Farland
OWNER + PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
My passion for design has been my clear creative path from a very young age. Discovering and creating ways to bring elements and materials together to evoke beauty and positivity has always been my driving force. Growing up in New England, I was surrounded by rolling hills, the ocean, and a historical richness all of which are echoed in my design aesthetic. I moved to Bozeman in 1995 where I earned a degree in Interior Design in 2011, and since then I have been fortunate enough to continue cultivating many relationships within Montana’s design community and beyond. I am drawn to interiors and elements that evoke a connection, and that project ease and warmth. My love of collaborating with different types of people, from subs to clients, provides the foundation for my design process and makes the final outcome that much more gratifying — both professionally and personally. When I am not working, I am a proud mother of the most wonderful young man, Samuel, and always contending with our wily dog, Paxton.
Kensey Crawford
JUNIOR DESIGNER
As a sixth-generation Montanan, I have a deep-rooted appreciation for the unique beauty and quiet complexity of the landscape I call home. My passion lies in leaving spaces better than I found them, while honoring the character and story that made them beautiful in the first place. From a young age, I was drawn to design, a passion that grew into a lifelong dream of becoming an interior designer. After high school I decided to pursue this dream and in 2024, I earned my degree in Interior Design and Business Management from Montana State University. Though I once imagined building a life outside of Montana, my time at MSU rekindled my love for the changing seasons and the grounding presence of the mountains. Now, having Bozeman as my home base feels nothing short of a dream. I’ve always been a people person, and one of my favorite aspects of design is the collaborative nature of the work. Every day brings the opportunity to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors and creatives to bring a vision to life, together. I feel incredibly grateful to channel my creativity into a career I love. When I’m not working, you can usually find me outside–either in the mountains or on the lake–spending time with my friends and family, or traveling.
Paxton Farland
DIRECTOR OF BARKETING
Paxton Gene Farland was a rescue from northern Montana. He sheds light (and endless fur) on my life. He’s rather wily, cuddly when needed, and keeps me on my toes with his constant stares of affection. He loves tennis balls, water, and watching over those he loves.
